We are currently working with Worcester Warriors rugby team developing a Homeless Rugby Project. Coaches at Warriors work with a team of our residents and ex residents on a weekly basis to use rugby as a tool to help change their lives.
Confidence, teamwork skills and respect are all values that are evident in rugby and general life. Since starting the project, six of the 18 residents or ex residents have gone on to find full time employment and four have returned to college to study.
Keen player and ex resident Richard Oxenbury said “It’s made my life better from being on drink and drugs, helping me get back on the straight and narrow and keeping fit,”
