Supported Lodgings provide a young person with a room of their own in a private home where they are a member of a household and given the support of the family or

individual living in the home. YMCA works with young people aged 16+ who are in housing need. The young people come from a variety of backgrounds and have different support needs. Young people can stay with a Host for anything from one night to two years.

A young person placed with a Host will receive a package of support from YMCA Worcestershire, to help them gain the confidence and skills they need to become independent adults.

Without a safe home and the guidance of caring, responsible adults many young people lose their way. The Open Door Project provides young people with the stability they need to continue with their education and transition into responsible adults.
