Real Communities – Family Fun Day!

Willow Trees Community Centre was buzzing with activity as families came together for a fantastic day of fun, laughter and
community spirit at our recent Family Fun Day.

The event featured a wonderful variety of stalls from local crafters and businesses, alongside exciting carnival games from
Kandy Kidz Entertainment. Younger visitors (and some of our staff!) enjoyed having their faces transformed by Antonia from
Face Art Creations, while the inflatable assault course provided plenty of energetic fun throughout the day. With refreshments,
games and activities for all ages, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

One of the highlights of the day was the chance to win our giant YMCA teddy bear. Congratulations to Elliot from Snap
Fitness, who correctly guessed his name and took home the prize. After attracting lots of attention throughout the event, we’re
delighted to say that James the Bear has now found his forever home!

More than just a fun day out, events like these play an important role in bringing people together. At a time when many of us
can feel disconnected from our neighbours and local communities, opportunities to meet, share experiences and build new
connections are more valuable than ever. The Family Fun Day was a wonderful example of how communities can come
together to support one another, celebrate local talent and create a welcoming space for everyone.

have fun and see first-hand the positive impact that community organisations can have across our local area.
