From 6th-10th September, a team of YMCA Worcestershire staff and residents will take on an ambitious five-day walk from YMCA Cardiff to YMCA Worcestershire in Redditch, raising funds for people living in our Housing & Support services.
This challenge was inspired by one of our residents, who wanted to give something back to the service that has supported him through some of life’s toughest challenges. What started as a simple desire to make a difference has grown into a remarkable team effort.
Every resident is on a journey of their own. By walking the miles together, our staff and residents are recognising the determination, resilience and commitment it takes to overcome challenges, build confidence and create a brighter future.
The funds raised will help provide life-changing opportunities for residents, including:
- Life skills development
- Mental health support
- Education and training
- Employability opportunities
- Health and wellbeing activities
Over five days, our walkers will cover the distance between YMCA Cardiff and YMCA Worcestershire, demonstrating the same perseverance and strength we see in our residents every day.
