Family Support – Bridge Family Day

Bringing a little bit of the seaside to HMP Hewell!

Our latest Bridge Family Day was packed with sunshine, smiles and special moments as families came together for a fantastic summer beach-themed event.

These events give prisoners engaging with the Bridge Family Project the opportunity to spend quality time with their loved ones, away from the usual visiting environment, to enjoy activities, share a meal, make memories and simply be together.

This time, we transformed the visiting room into the beach, with sand, water play and plenty of seaside fun. And what beach day would be complete without ice cream? Our very own ice cream shack was a huge hit, serving up delicious treats and lots of happy faces throughout the day!

From family activities and shared laughter to treasured family photos, the day was all about strengthening relationships and creating positive memories that families can hold onto long after the event ends.

A huge thank you to all the staff and volunteers who make the day so special. .
