The grant gives the project four years of secure funding from 1st November 2026, so the team can keep being there for local families and help them feel supported, connected and ready for whatever comes next.
Around 60% of prisoners have dependent children, and 45% lose contact with their families during their sentence. Keeping those bonds strong makes a real difference for children, parents and the wider community.
The project’s work has already won national recognition, including two Butler Trust Awards and Family & Youth Project of the Year at the 2025 YMCA Youth Matters Awards.
A huge thank you to everyone who plays the National Lottery. You’re helping to make this happen. Congratulations to the whole Bridge team!
