Nursery Spotlight – New Funded Courtyard

We were delighted to receive a plaque from Wooden Spoon as part of the official unveiling of our newly transformed courtyard — a project made possible thanks to their incredibly generous £15,000 funding.

This space has completely come to life, and the impact on our nursery children is already clear to see. The new courtyard now offers:

• A calm and secure environment where children can express emotions and explore their feelings safely.
• Imaginative and creative play areas that inspire storytelling, role-play and problem-solving.
• Opportunities for physical development through safe equipment and surfaces that support balance, coordination and gross-motor skills.
• Sensory-rich experiences, with colours, textures and natural elements that help children self-regulate and grow their sensory awareness.
• Greater access to outdoor learning, giving little ones the chance to connect with nature, build confidence and enjoy the wellbeing boost that fresh air brings.

We are so grateful to Wooden Spoon for believing in this project and helping us create a space that nurtures curiosity, confidence and joy.

Here’s to many years of play, learning and happy memories in our beautiful new courtyard!
