Chair of the Board of Trustees

The role

We are seeking a new Chair of the Board of Trustees at YMCA Worcestershire to help guide the organisation in delivering its charitable purpose and creating lasting, positive change across our communities. This opportunity comes at a meaningful moment, as our long-standing Chair steps down after dedicated and valued service, leaving a strong foundation on which to build the next chapter.

About you

We’re looking for an experienced leader who can bring strategic thinking, sound judgement, and strong governance skills to our Board. You’ll be confident leading discussions, providing constructive challenge, and working collaboratively to support positive decision-making. An understanding of the charity sector and trustee responsibilities is important, along with an interest in the communities we serve. Most importantly, you’ll share our passion for making a difference, embody our values of quality, transformation, compassion and integrity, and respect our Christian ethos. You’ll also be willing to commit the time needed to support the Board, work closely with the CEO, and represent the organisation at key events.
