Recently, the Bridge Family Project team hosted a special Family Day at HMP Hewell, giving fathers the opportunity to spend meaningful, uninterrupted time with their children and loved ones.
These Bridge Family Days differ from the standard family days run by the PACT team, as they are held specifically with men the Bridge Family Project supports directly through courses, workshops and one‑to‑one work. This makes the day more personal and helps families clearly see the impact of the ongoing support provided. Families enjoyed games, story–telling, a shared hot lunch, family photos and creative activities, including painting bird boxes and planting seeds to take home as lasting reminders of time spent together.
For staff and volunteers, the day was incredibly rewarding, the opportunity to see the direct impact of their work and the meaningful connections it helps to strengthen. Volunteering opportunities with the Bridge Family Project are available for anyone interested in supporting this work.
