Dan Owen who was awarded the YMCA Worcestershire’s Positive Impact award has gone from strength to strength and has now been elected to join the Worcestershire ‘Youth Cabinet’. Being part of the youth cabinet is an exciting opportunity for Dan. He now has the opportunity to have his voice heard by local, regional and national government. “Being the part youth cabinet means I can listen to the views of local young people and speak on their behalf” Dan is passionate about creating opportunities and changing perceptions about young people within Worcestershire. In Dan’s manifesto, he highlighted the importance of supporting youth homelessness. Since Dan himself has been affected by this he truly understands the help that is needed.
