This month, the YMCA Worcestershire family laced up their trainers, braved the mud, and joined forces to conquer the Wolf Run. Staff from across the organisation—including all three of our nurseries—came together to face a course packed with obstacles, icy water, and plenty of determination. Their efforts paid off, raising over £1,000 to support young people and communities right here in Worcestershire.
Every pound raised will go directly towards creating brighter futures—whether that’s providing safe spaces for young people, nurturing early years development, or offering the support and opportunities needed to help individuals reach their full potential. Just as the Wolf Run tested strength, stamina, and spirit, many of the young people we walk alongside face daily challenges that demand resilience and courage. Together, we are building the networks of care and community that help them thrive.
Importantly, this event wasn’t only about those on the course. Several staff members who weren’t running came along to cheer on their colleagues—including our CEO, Annette Daly. Their encouragement, particularly at the finish line, made the world of difference and gave our runners the boost they needed to cross it with pride. Moments like this remind us that YMCA Worcestershire is truly one team, united in purpose. And this is just the beginning. Over the coming months, there are plans to host more events and opportunities to bring people
together in support of our mission. From community challenges to local celebrations, each step forward is a reminder of the power we have when we work side by side.
To everyone who donated, cheered us on, or took part—thank you. You are helping us change lives & strengthen communities.
