At the start of the month, our nurseries and youth team celebrated Children’s Mental Health Week, reinforcing the importance of wellbeing, self-expression, and emotional resilience in young minds. Through a range of engaging and thoughtful activities, they helped children and young people explore their emotions in a supportive and nurturing environment.

In our nurseries, little ones took part in mindful walks, allowing them to connect with nature, slow down, and appreciate the world around them. They also created kindness bracelets, and practiced yoga, which introduced them to the benefits of relaxation and mindfulness from an early age. Across our youth clubs, young people engaged in activities focused on exploring emotions, helping them to understand and articulate their feelings. One particularly popular activity was making their own stress balls, a creative and practical way to manage stress and anxiety. These hands-on sessions provided valuable opportunities for open conversations about mental health, reinforcing that it’s okay to talk about feelings and seek support when needed.

A huge thank you to our dedicated nursery and youth teams for making the week so impactful. Your commitment to children’s mental health is truly making a difference!
