“In the past 2 and half years I feel I’ve already lived nine lives; however, one thing has remained constant and that is my love and passion for the work we do here at the YMCA. Starting my journey in 2022 as a Life Coach I had the honour and privilege to work with young people, to develop into the people they wanted to be, overcome their own personal struggles and to watch them come out the other side. Even when I went through my own struggles in my personal life, YMCA was there to support me and didn’t give up on me. That is what I like the most about working here, we don’t just serve the community and the people within it, we also serve our greatest assets… our people – our people who tirelessly, with drive and passion, give their all to the important work we do, with a smile, love and compassion. And that is why my move into HR was the perfect transition for me, where I can still provide that support for progress and development but now for our colleagues and friends. Together, we can create a community that not only supports each other but thrives on the passion and dedication we all bring to our work. Here’s to many more lives touched and stories shared at the YMCA!”
