Two of our residents, Romeo and Chase, recently travelled to London alongside Siana Beard, current Youth Ambassador for YMCA Worcestershire, and Dave Knatt, Life Skills Coach at Redditch.
Romeo and Chase are joining the Youth Ambassador Programme and attended their induction at the England & Wales Head Offices, taking their first step into a role that empowers young people to shape the future of YMCA.
Siana, also delivered an inspiring talk, sharing her personal journey through the programme and the impact YMCA has had on her development — a brilliant example of what youth voice can achieve.
Youth Ambassadors play a vital role in representing the opinions, needs and beliefs of young people. They help shape policy priorities, attend national and international events, and act as spokespeople to ensure young voices are heard.
Being a Youth Ambassador is a meaningful commitment, supported by high‑quality training and opportunities to build skills for success. The programme is open to young people who are passionate about sharing their views and making a real difference — and we’re incredibly proud to see Romeo and Chase taking on this challenge.
👏 Well done to everyone involved — we can’t wait to see where this journey takes you!
