Our YMCA Race for Change at Run Redditch with RunThrough UK was a fantastic success, with runners of all ages and abilities taking part—despite the scorching heat!
We were so proud of our 10k and Half Marathon runners, some of whom completed the distance for the very first time. Determination was on full display, including from our youngest fundraiser, Milo, who sadly couldn’t take part on race day, so returned the next day to complete his 1k and earn a well-deserved medal.
The day simply wouldn’t have been possible without our incredible staff and volunteers, who were up at unspeakably early hours to set everything up and keep things running smoothly. Thanks to their efforts, the event was full of energy, with activities and games keeping supporters entertained throughout.
There were smiles everywhere you looked —helped along by Super Soakers keeping runners cool in the heat, and even a visit from Sonic, who proved a big hit with participants and spectators alike!
Most importantly, the event raised vital funds—making it a brilliant day all round!
